Jose Mourinho hits out at Alexis Sanchez: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has said he is not ready to sign Alexis Sanchez, if he is keen on staying in London.
The Arsenal forward has been in the headlines in recent weeks due to the uncertainty over his future at the Emirates, which he fuelled when he admitted he wants to remain in London with a winning team.
Prior to his revelation, there are have been reports that the top Premier League teams were plotting a sensational summer move for Sanchez but his comments seems to have put Chelsea at the top of the potential suitors.
Jose Mourinho has now made it clear that players should not make location, a priority when determining their next club, with regards to the Chilean’s claims.
The United boss said: ‘If a player wants to move to London, enjoy London, we don’t want you, if the first thing you think is where you’re going to live, think Los Angeles.
‘LA Galaxy would be the first choice, then Vitoria Setubal in Portugal – to go to the beach every day. There are beautiful places to live and to play. But we want people who are really engaged by the first contact.
‘We want people that, if I call or Mr Woodward calls some guy or some agent, we want people who are immediately engaged or dreaming about coming.
‘This is the profile of players we want. If you don’t want to come to us, good luck, enjoy your other club.’
