At the start of 2015-16 season Paris Saint Germain became the professional team with the highest wage bill not only in football but sports in general. PSG’s current squad average wage is €131,100 a week (£101,898) or if we put it yearly, the average annual salary of PSG squad is around £5.3m per year making them the highest paying team in the world and that is set to increase with Neymar Jr’s massive contract where he is set to be paid over €500,000 a week after tax.
