Arsenal claimed victory in the Community Shield, beating London rivals Chelsea 4-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in normal time. Victor Moses had opened the scoring at Wembley after capitalising on a breakdown in communication among Arsenal’s backline. The Premier League champions held on to their lead until the final 10 minutes of the match when Sead Kolasinac met Granit Xhaka’s free-kick to head home an equaliser. Both sides were unable to find a winning goal, sending the game to penalties and an eventual Arsenal victory.

Here’s five things we learned:
1. Alexandre Lacazette
It looks Arsenal have finally captured an elite marksman. The Arsenal record transfer signing has had a mixed pre-season so far with two goals. What is however evident to see is his sheer class infront of goal when his curling shot hit the post. His mobility and movement also seemed to bring out the best in Danny Welbeck who had an industrious afternoon operating from the left side of a front three.
