When many were of the view that ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas will pull the brakes on his undercover work after the infamous Number 12, he is springing another surprise for those taking into account latest developments.
A teaser of an interview just released by the BBC reveals that the most revered African journalist has something up his sleeves which may soon explode.
He explains to the interviewer his reasons for wearing the face masks and his resolve to go after the bad guys in society.
From the interview, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) another explosive is set to hit the world but no specifics have been stated.
According to him, his work as an investigative journalist is not for selfish interest but to push for the development of the frontiers of democracy of the country which must be a collective interest of all its citizens.
“My kind of journalism is extreme and I can see that from your faces. I do what I do because I’m a product of my society. Everything I do is what has been mirrored back to me by you. I think that we have an extreme disease.”
“So we set off for that mission to film or to investigate. Who is says it is enjoyable to be standing before you wearing a mask. I would have loved to removed it, walked with, spoken to you and all that. But hey it is not a bed of roses.”
“We have to understand that if the frontiers of democracy are going to be pushed it must be a collective effort”, he disclosed.
