Actor John Dumelo says he gives his tithe to the needy not to the church

Actor John Dumelo has written that it’s better to give his tithe to the needy than to the Church.

John Dumelo stating his stands on his Twitter page said “I give my tithe to the needy most of the time. I think they need it more than the ‘church’. I don’t know if it’s wrong”.

This issue of tithing has been an issue of discussion on social media over the years.

Many has said that tithing is a way of simply enriching men of God at the expense of the poor people in the Church.

So it’s way better to give to the needy rather than the church.

However, the bible states clearly that Tithe which is the 10th of our income should be given to the church.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”, reads Malachi 3:10
